The expo will be taking place on August 27-28, 2010 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

ORANGEBURG, NY – Military contractor DHS Technologies LLC, widely known within the defense industry for its Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter (DRASH), has announced it is forming a new line of permanent housing for use in developing countries as a first step to achieving political and economic stability.

Several agencies from across New York City and the surrounding area put their skills to the test during a recent week-long training event in Jersey City, NJ. On Sunday, May 17, 2009, more than 800 firefighters, police officers and other first responders took part in a simulated terrorist attack near the World Trade Center site in New York City. The two-hour exercise replicated an explosion on a PATH commuter train.

During the week of April 27, 2009, New York City’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) took part in a joint training event alongside members of the Air National Guard, Fatality Search and Recovery Team (FSRT). The Hamilton County Health Department in Indiana recently purchased the Reeves ICP. The system, along with a DRASH MX shelter, will be used as a mobile point of dispensing site. 

On November 5 the Sierra Providence Health Network in El Paso, Texas held training for the Sierra Medical Center Bioterrorism Response Team. During the exercise, which involved a simulated decontamination scenario, emergency response personnel deployed a Reeves Three-Lane Decontamination system.

The Reeves ICP was recently deployed to assist local first responders during “A Salute to all of Connecticut’s Veterans,” a three day air show organized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars honoring veterans from World War II to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the men and women currently serving in the military.

When Hurricane Gustav blew ashore around 9:30 am on September 1, 2008 near Cocodrie, Louisiana, a low lying community 72 miles southwest of New Orleans, forecasters feared that it would remain a Category 2 hurricane, blowing winds at over 100mph. But just four hours later, it had dropped to a Category 1 as it steamed inland towards Texas.

On Monday, June 2, 2008, firefighters and firemedics were dispatched to Yester Oaks Apartments in Mobile, Alabama to find that a 78-year-old male employee of the complex had fallen down a deep concrete drainage ditch that crosses the property.
