DRASH Mobile Recruiting Station Debuts at 170th Anniversary of New York State Fair

SYRACUSE, NY - DHS Systems will be on hand to support the Syracuse Recruiting Battalion as they met with young men and women interested in enlisting in the U.S. Army during New York State’s Annual Fair. This year’s fair marks the event’s 170th anniversary and will run from August 25 – September 5, 2011. The Great New York State Fair is an annual farmers' exposition and a 12-day showcase of entertainment, education, industry, technology, midway rides, games, and concerts. The fair attendance is expected to reach 850,000 over the next 12 days.  The joint venture between DHS and the Syracuse Recruiting Battalion demonstrates the flexibility to bring the recruiting efforts to the target audience in any environment.

Interested applicants will be able to meet with members of the recruiting battalion inside a mobile recruiting station provided by DHS Systems, makers of the DRASH or Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelters. The facility is comprised of a 442 square foot DRASH Trailer Mounted Support System (TMSS) Medium. The TMSS Medium allows for an air conditioned, dry and highly visible mobile office environment for recruiters to sit down and discuss the many options available with the U.S. Army.

The event is the second time that the Syracuse Recruiting Battalion has utilized the recruiting station to speak with potential applicants from a location in the field. Pleased with its mobile, flexible design, personnel already plan to use the station for similar events in the future.
